Developed and applied two management plans for a privately-owned protected area for conservation and development of ecological services ("Dantas River" Reserve, 2004-2010) in close collaboration with the Cabecar Indigenous territories of Nairi-Awari and Taini; and for a National Biological Corridor ("Paso de las Nubes” Biological Corridor, 2009-2010.) There 11 communities of small to medium size farming towns connected three National Parks and several small protected areas. The primary objective was to coordinate efforts on pesticide use reduction, promote organic production, wildlife protection, combat poaching, and incorporate environmental education to the elementary school's curricula.
